I caught myself today searching google/blogs for people with the same interests as me. I look for these blogs and check to see just how interesting they are, if those bloggers are living the life I long for.

WHAT?

I've done this before. Searched for folks who live in Key West and post pictures. For women who both teach yoga and work in the journalism field. For not-so-healthy everyday people looking for such a big change that they go totally raw with their diet. For people on a cheap budget who are trying to decorate their house in a tasteful caribbean (or sometimes Cuban) style. Ohhhh, and the one I keep coming back to...blogs with current pictures of Nuevo Progreso. I soooo miss that place.

Last year was just about surviving every day. I didn't have any real plans on what I needed to accomplish with my time. I was afraid to plan with all of the crazy, bad stuff that has dumped itself into my life in the past 22 months. But I do realize that the ONE thing I set up and sort of half way planned was our vacation to FL. I picked the location and that was about it but it was big for me! We spent almost a week in Key West. There are things I do different if we go back, like camping a night on the Dry Tortugas and renting our own little house with a private pool. But in general I loved everything we did and saw while we were there. So much so that my home office is being redone in Olde Key West style with this painting right in the middle of the room...

Raw Food & Nutrition

One of the changes I’ve been thinking about and reading a lot of books on in the past few years is nutrition. For those of you out there who want to read one, scientific book on health, go with The China Study. Beyond that I have become SO interested in the raw food diet that I’ve joined the 100 Day Raw Fu Challenge and continue to subscribe to youtube bloggers who are making the change now. I can tell such a huge difference in my mood and energy levels when I do focus on juicing fruits and veggies and eating raw. I have just been very lazy about it. And honestly I can’t figure out why. When you know something is good for you, it’s going to make you feel so much better, your going to look better…why do you take the other road? Ah, didn’t I say in the last post that I was going to quit questioning and just do it?

So today I just juiced 3 oranges and 3 apples. I added two scoops of Raw Food Power that I bought last weekend in Yellow Springs Ohio at the Garden of the Goddess store. This is the first time that I’ve used the supplement and also the first time I’ve taken Hemp Protein, Brazil Nut Protein, Maca, and Mesquite. It also includes Goji Berry. I called my husband and asked him to stop at La Michoacana Mexican Market on the way home. They have the BEST prices on produce. Mangos for under $1. 10 limes for $1. Haven’t seen prices like those since we lived in McAllen TX on the border.

More inspiration came when I watched the video introducing the Little Black Dress program on http://www.discoverrawblog.com/ this morning. Check it out! Jo is just amazing!

NOW

Life is short, every day needs to be lived to the fullest, live every day like it’s your last…

How many times have you heard one of these phrases from someone or even said them to yourself? Personally, I’m tired of telling myself that I need to stop procrastinating. I’d like to get past that phase of my life (finally, I’m only 13 months and 1 week away from turning 40). What better way to do that than to JUST DO IT?

;)

It’s time for some massive action.
